Downtown Willoughby, or DTW, can be best described as a young, trendy, admirable town in Northeast Ohio. Aside from the fashionable, chic aspect of DTW, its marvelous charm and attraction is more on the historic side. The buildings are old, and the town is even older (built in 1798, to be exact.) However, this old-fashioned town with its few modern attributes is what makes Downtown Willoughby stand out from many other cities on the East and West Side of Cleveland. DTW is home to the popular Arabica, Willoughby Brewing Company, Mullarkey’s, and Frank and Tony’s Place — just to name a few.
DTW is now home to plenty of bars, restaurants, antique shops, hair studios, festivals, and more. These places and events draw out large crowds of all ages. From kids’ festivities like the Willoughby Ghost Walk, to nightlife for millennials and adults with the abundance of restaurants and bars, to the quaint shops and coffee spots for an older crowd, Downtown Willoughby has it all. This hot spot continues to grow with new bars and restaurants. Check out the latest to open, BRIM Kitchen + Brewery — balancing the latest with the greatest – clean eating options along with tried and true favorites. A few others, such as Hook & Hoof and Garage Bar Willoughby, will also be opening in early/Spring 2017.
Instead of heading all the way out to Downtown CLE or the West Side to have a good time, do it in your own backyard. With its convenient location and easy access to fun, you’re bound to have an excellent time with your family and friends whenever you go.
